I thought you do the work and Gus takes the credit? ![]()
ha ha
@ jasdev - I understand. But, I thought you were a cutting edge kinda guy
I know the problem all too well. The TED Talks app my company recently finished for Android was developed to display correctly for over 1000 different flavors of Android
(Donât ask me how the marketing folks come up with the number⌠(versions) x (screen sizes) x (models) + GoogleTV + âŚ)
However, my personal opinion on your example is that is just another example of wasteful government spendingâŚ
@ Gus, @ Ian,
I agree with both of you, but the people that write the RFPs for the government have to set some criteria for browser compability in their requirements. They usually indicate that we have to support browsers with at least 5% of market share. Sometimes they specify the source for the market statistics, and some times they let us choose a source. The last check we had to do for a client was a few months ago, and we found that IE6 still had slightly over 5% of market share, so we had to support it.
I do a lot of compability testing, and I found that Google Chrome usually performs the best of all the browsers. Safari for Windows is the worst.
I still use Windows XP on my main PC, so that is why Iâm still on IE8. I have Windows 7 and IE9 at work and on a small laptop and I hate both of them.
Iâm sticking to XP and IE8 as long as I can
Sorry, my reply was on mikes comment. I do not knowing about browsers so I couldnât comment
Sorry @ Gus my comment was meant for @ Josh regarding IE and IE6
Everyoneâs giving Gus extra credit today
@ jasdev - I use Chrome almost exclusively now. It feels very lightweight and has very good compatibility. Also, itâs built-in dev tools rock.
@ Brett - Not just you. Was down for me for the last hour or so.
Also, any ETA on when existing images will return.
Josh, I should have shared this with you before the new site came out but in case youâre still looking for inspiration. This is my other favorite site
I love the clean layout of the comments/forum area below the projects.

@ GMod(Errol), works for me.
Did you click on that link exactly?
I still have error 500âŚ
@ GMod(Errol) - yes, i have clicked the link your provided in all kind of browsers.
Well, dunno what was wrong, but it works again⌠
@ RobvanSchelven Looks interesting, but what has this got to do with this thread. I suggest you start a new one.
One of things Iâm missing in the new TinyCLR is the âMy postsâ site showing which threads that i posted in have new messages. It was useful because I donât add all threads that i post in to âwatchedâ. I would like to know that i there is a new post in a thread i recently was active in.
Gralin, that is available under the forum menu option
@ EriSan500 (Eric) - But does it signal somehow that the topic has some new posts since i last wrote something there?
@ ransomhall. I just noted that this post ended up here
Yesterday i posted it in another thread⌠after posting i could not see that submission. Maybe i have been sleeping and use the wrong thread or ⌠i donât know .The 2nd post went fine.
@ Rob - we can now delete our own posts too
