We now have both DueSTEM and Clipit in hand. Both have correct firmware installed via Chromebooks which seem to not block firmware as do our Windows machines. (I know there is a method to unblock but Chrome machines are handy and are a good work-around for us)
The DueSTEM works with Microblocks but the sensors are un-predictable as they are not in the blocks provided for DueSTEM, rather we search “sensors” in the Microblocks library, some sensor blocks work and some don’t. We spent 4 hours with the Clipit this morning and got it to work with gator clips and remote speaker and remote LED using pins on breadboard but then it began not working, this was on a Chromebook. This evening I have re-installed the firmware on the Clipit and DueSTEM via the Duelink console but now NO blocks show up for Clipit in Microblocks when I activate it. Can you please test this on both boards on a naive windows machine (not your own) and also on similar Chromebook to try to duplicate our experience? Thank you. The Coffee Shop Coding Club.
How is it blocked? The issue you had last week was due to the lack of drivers in windows and we have added a link to those since then. Any other issues?
By the way, the console and the docs received a lot of updates since last week.
Are you using these demos https://duestem.duelink.com/
Note how all demos point to “pilot” release of MicroBlcoks. The release has many issues still. I believe the MicroBlocks team is planning on releasing the pilot in January.

Please explain more on what you mean when you say “unpredictable”.
What does “not working” mean? It can’t connect? Nothing shows on PC/chrome? Can MicroBlocks connect? Are you using pilot?
I think the pilot vs release is the problem.
We have but we can try again. What is more important here is we understand the steps you have. So, when you feel stuck, just come here and let us know.
Love it. Keep the feedback coming but please separate issues and board in different posts so we can help you better. I believe the entire “MicroBlocks experince” will be complete when the pilot is released, but for now, keep on using the pilot and things should work just fine.
For now, always make sure -pilot is showing in the link you are using.
Looks like there is a new post… for future readers
