Sitcore operating temperature

I have some SCM20100E SITCore modules running outdoors in various areas of the country. Many of them down in Texas are reporting an internal temperature of +80C. Will slowing the clock speed help reduce the temperature? I am guessing the temperature inside the enclosure is probably around 60C.

Just looking for ways to keep the processor from overheating.

Thermal design is difficult. The first step is remove guesses. Then identify sources of heat.

Yes, reducing processor speed will reduce heat. Will it be significant? Your guess is better than mine.
