It is planned but want to start with this one first to get some feedback first.
@ Andrew
Duh…
My wallet is screaming in pain!
Great job, GHI! That looks like a tired bunch. Well, except the monkeys. I don’t think they ever tire.
@ Mike
LOL!
I had the same question regarding the drivers, and got the same response…d’oh!
That’ll teach us to look first before asking for something that’s already there.
Sweet. Been waiting for the vga module. was wondering could it be connected to the ChipWorkx board.
Excellent set of modules
Looks like I toss my partially completed mega servo module design
Pete
Wow. That monster is a robot brainstem module all by itself
Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus!
I have had one of the VGA module prototypes for about about a week. Just got around to playing with it tonight. I had forgotten the VGA module driver shipped with the latest Gadgeteer SDK. Andrew (devhammer) had to remind it was already there.
Bad photography, great module.
So, do you guys have any demos/videos of the OBD II Module in action?
@ Mike
Nice!
Of course, next thing we’re going to want is a VGA+Touch module. Surely with technology like this:

That can’t be too far off…right, Gus?
[quote]MaxO Module: A chain-able output extender. Through a single S-socket a developer can add 32 outputs for each module added. Only 4 of these modules will add 128 outputs to a single socket.

Killer app: Biggest. Larson Scanner. Ever.
Combine it with OBD II and you can build a knight rider car!
Uh… What’s wrong with this picture?
Not really a part of this announcement.
It is off market pending on resolution for some issues
@ architect - Yea, I understand. I was referring more to the prices It is somewhat related to this post since it will draw more attention that way.
Gus, did you test that the VideoOut module is compatible with VGA to HDMI adapter cables?
Very cool stuff guys, order placed.
I can hardly wait to see what is next up for modules, but hopefully some more environmental sensors including range, radiation, gases etc are in the works somewhere.
Thanks
We are evaluating other modules like alcohol detectors and CO2 modules but you can help us by pointing out the sensors part numbers that you believe should be used in gadgeteer modules.
At least in the world of water quality, a lot of sensors are in the form of probes with an analog BNC connection. Take a look at this pH/ORP Adapter - 1130_0 at Phidgets . There are a lot of other sensors these guys offer to give you ideas.
Also, we’ll soon see a solid state pH sensor from a company that is just now starting the manufacturing process. This is big news, because pH sensors have traditionally involved a lot of upkeep, so can’t be deployed remotely for very long. This new tech will solve that problem.
I’ve got a background in environmental sensing/testing an would LOVE to collaborate on a suite of modules along these lines.
Solid state pH sensor would be awesome. Geiger-Muller tube and photodiode based radiation detection, as for exactly which components, sorry software guy, do not trust with screwdriver never mind soldering iron
Chest Strap Heart Rate Sensor and some of the other Grove stuff looks interesting. I know I could get a Grove expansion module and use them, but trying to keep it pure Gadgeteer I guess.
Thanks
I updated ghipivot.kurtnelle.com with the new products. Good stuff GHI.
