Introducing the SITCore Product Family
With years of diligence and innovation, we are proud to announce the coming of our all new SITCore (Secure IoT Core) product family. The family is made specifically for modern, managed, secure IoT applications. At its heart, SITCore runs on top of a Cortex-M7 based microcontroller that runs a secure OS in its internal memories, keeping your critical data secure inside the micro’s silicon. The family will include everything from chipsets, to modules, to single board computers.

TinyCLR 2.0
The magic of SITCore is in its TinyCLR operating system. This complete, managed OS lets developers write and debug code in C# right from Visual Studio. The OS includes hundreds of services, from pin/bus level control to high-level services such as file system and graphics. It also includes modern TLS-secured networking stacks, supporting WiFi, PPP Mobile, and Ethernet. Note that this is true full featured networking support like you see on a PC. This is not the simple, unsecure “serial to WiFi” bridge that you see on most embedded systems!

Parting ways with old friends
With new products coming onboard, we are marking all previous products as Mature. The G120, for example, has served well for the last 8 years! No need to panic, you are still protected by our 10 year longevity policy. There will be a price increase as well as we have not raised prices in over 5 years.

Although the G120 will continue shipping for years to come, we recommend you start now to upgrade your product to SITCore. SITCore offers much greater value, so you will benefit from the upgrade regardless of your need for SITCore’s advanced features.

File System Products
We have had a great success story with our file system products for over 15 years. With technology changing regularly, the recommended path is now for companies to use SITCore for a more feature rich file system solution. The file system products are no longer available in distribution; however they are available for direct ordering at a minimum quantity and special pricing. While they may be available for some time, we ask everyone to consider this as a last time buy. Note that this last-time-buy notice is for file system products only – it does not affect the .NETMF modules such as the G400 and G120.

Crikey! As we rundown our supply of EMX based boards, the prototypes for the brand new G120 based replacements sit somewhere in China, held in stasis by the Corona virus.

Now we hear rumors of a replacement which may surpass everything which came before in performance and price - to hold tight and make the leap directly to the new beast, or continue taking the delayed prototypes through to production, which is it to be?

Please tell us more!

You should have joined the insider program. You would have had some boards on your desk by now.

By the way, welcome back. We have not seen you around here in a while.

@Gus_Issa Things have been pretty quiet for a while, but we’ve recently had orders for evaluation units for plants in Iceland and Spain, so I’m preparing for the flood of orders once they see how good we are!

Great! I think @Joel_Riley is trying to buy a Ferrari and he needs your help

Ha! They don’t make a Ferrari that’s as reliable as my $500 Toyota!

For $500 it better be really reliable!

Are the SITCore development and production products available for purchase now? If not now, when? Are they held up by the China shut-down?

This is a soft announcement to keep you in the loop. Insiders/close customers have SITCore boards already and are using them today. Further announcement will be made.
