What is shown on the display? My Cobra shows version 4.1.0.0

Maybe the firmware is not completely removed with Tinybooter. Could retry to delete it via Tinybooter?

Strange, mine sais 4.0.4.0 ???

Strange, this is also wrong.
Using terraterm, I have deleted and deployed everything 3 times now.
I have downloaded the SDK 4.1 beta from GHI (even did the things in readme)

Why am I still having the old firmware? ???

I don’t know ::slight_smile:

Is there a command in Tinybooter where you can check that the firmware is completely removed?

How long does it take to delete the firmware? I use the video from Gus. It take some time (you see it in the video)

Did you check the release notes to make sure you have the right firmware like the video shows?

Yes, I did:
Version Info
Firmware, Tinybooter (if applicable) and libraries are compatible for each SDK release and they may not work with previous releases. Make sure to update all your software components including firmware and library assemblies. Otherwise, your managed application will not run at all or run incorrectly.

Important note: Requires .NET Micro Framework 4.1 and Visual Studio 2010

• USBizi (FEZ Mini, FEZ Domino, FEZ Rhino) V 4.1.0.0
• EMX (FEZ Cobra) V 4.1.0.0, TinyBooter V 4.1.0.0
• ChipworkX V 4.1.0.0 TinyBooter V 4.1.0.0
• GHI NETMF Library V 4.1.0.0
That is impossible! If this is what is in your SDK and you updated the firmware then your firmware should be 4.1.0.0 :wall:

He he he,

yes you should hover with the mouse cursor over the GHI NETMF SDK.msi file and check that the title shows GHI NETMF v4.1 SDK

As you can see, it is. I will try again after diner… :wall:

Ok this is strange… ??? now it worked? ???

Hmm the display sais 4.1.0.0 and the device capabilities too…

Strange…

woooooooooooooooo cobra is alive again
And the deployment succeeded with just 1 try! Also, the assembly “error” is fixed!

GOOD GOOD work crew!

Or is it your daily joke , like Josh is doing with the website

He he he he

He he he he
Haha yes just wanted to freak you guys out
Nah, I really do not know how this happened… Anyway: it works, and the annoying errors are flawlessly fixed, and I am very happy about that.

anyone know when the mini 4.1 sdk will appear on the downloads page? approximatly?

in the next 3 hours

Yay! I’ll be waiting…

Woohoo! Been playing with the emulator a bit with 4.1, looks pretty sweet

cool something to play with over the weekend, (apart from golf of course)

Any minute now!

Where is it guys? I’m really impatient, thanks for your work anyway.

We found a little problem in our one-wire library and so we will not release it till this is fixed. This may delay till Monday but I hope not

You do not need the 4.1 SDK to use FEZ. You can use it now already with 4.0…but will be nice to have the latest and greatest
