Where is the best place to inject 5V into Endpoint

I need to power the Endpoint via 5V and have the onboard regulator provide the 3v3 for the rest. Which pin is best for that, or will any 5V pin connect to the entire net?

Also, if I provide 5V, will that escape into the USB client connector, potentially trying to power any attached host? (like a raspberry pi)
