What does Firmware Authentication Failed mean?

I am running an In-field Update and get an Firmware Authentication failure. What does this mean? What causes this error?

Sounds like an application key issue?

Mean Firmware source corrupted.

If you are updating firmware mean you are using 260 which is large external RAM. You can use MD5 to verify them.
