The suggestion is really vague… Any guesses to what this actually means and what Microsoft interprets it to mean?
@ ransomhall - Very interesting. Hopefully it will shine a …or one of Marting LED lights on our little piece of the pie.

Looks like it’s complete:
Just got an email update from the UserVoice listing, and appears that they’ve completed the implementation.
NETMF samples are listed in the readme at the repo linked above.
Very good - Can the freed up resources now be dedicated to NetMf vNext ?
Its a shame because it is only Jose Simoes code that has been used (available for months) and only has HTTP support, not AMQP support as asked for in the feature request ??? so they closed it saying complete without even reading it :wall:
Rolls on the floor laughing
@ .Peter. - NETMF v4.4 was released in October of 2015, and we’re still waiting for GHI to catch up. What good would “vNext” do us?
I’ve tried Azure IoT Hub using amqp and mqtt directly without their SDK, you can download it here : GitHub - Gravicode/Azure.IoT.Demo: This is example how to use Azure for IoT Solution (Net Gadgeteer)
Project:
RoomMonitoring - AMQP
RoomMonitoringMqtt - MQTT
I’ve compiled many sources from internet
VNext should be something fully supported and maintained by Microsoft and must have decent set of upgrades. 4.4 is just a quick patch with nothing worth the risk and the work for upgrading. Anyway wet looked it at, 4.3 is more stable than 4.4. In other words, do not hold the breath.
That said, we are still working on improving netmf and working with Microsoft on vnext for netmf, and that is not 4.4 unfortunately. There will be official announcements about this. Til then, please do not make any assumptions.
@ Gus - thanks for that. Keep up the good work!
Given that I believe the issue was closed prematurely I have created a new issue. It would be nice if you all voted again

Done !!!
Done also.
Done.
Since I live outside Chicago I should be able to find some extra votes around the cemeteries.
