Over the last few years, we have generally seen a new update to .NET Micro Framework each summer/fall.

The .NET Micro Framework 4.3 beta appears to be nearing completion, so I anticipate that we’ll see an alpha/beta in the next two months.

Many of the .NET MF 4.3 features (such as bugfixes and WinUSB) got checked into .NET MF 4.2 QFE2 as well, and the VS2012 support and other new enhancements should be nice upgrades.

For folks who haven’t installed yet, I wrote a blog post tonight sharing how to use the system image feature in Windows to create a backup image, in case you needed to restore for any reason (or you can mount the image later, if you needed to retrieve files from your previous install).

@ devhammer - thanks for that. It might be timely to start a thread regarding tips for getting NETMF/Gadgeteer working with Win8 if there’s anything noteworthy. I’m trying to restrain myself until after DevLink but I may end up giving in

As noted in this thread, VS2012 support will come with a subsequent version of NETMF.
