(e.g., there isnāt a difference, but for certain stereotypes - Artisan: cabin in the woods and traditional materials. Maker: New media and new mediums)
I have a sculpt kb and mouse also. The tab key brokeā¦and then I lost the dongle. And you canāt replace the dongle⦠each is permanently hard coded to the particular mouse and kb.
So I have a dongle-less sculpt kb and mouse (missing a tab key) if anyone wants them.
Plus the mouse is so TALL it makes my
wrist all puckarooā¦or however you spell it
Editā¦I did like the kb though. Too bad they are $$ $ down here ā¦$269 at Harvey Norman!
Finally, this tank chassis from DFRobot is larger than it looks (itās about a foot square), and is surprisingly high quality (despite those cheap yellow motors). I have a Gadgeteer-based robot mostly complete:
For powering the Raspberry Pi on a robot, I use one of those micro USB mobile phone battery packs. I use a separate power pack for the motors.
Not heard that term for years. I remember it fondly when I grew up as a slogan for a soft drink from Scotland. āMade in Scotland from girdersā was heard often during the adverts in the 80ās for Irn-Bru
Interesting to read that site though and see the changes in attitude over the years and how politically correct we all have become since around 2000+ in the section under controversy. Sad to realise that we donāt have the same sense of humour anymore and some take such pleasure in complaining about so many small things
The good old days of sharp metal, line current and real chemicals for children. I was such a nuisance, my dad gave me an old vertical-shaft gas engine bolted into a little table. Man was he surprised when I got it going. How does one grow up without a bit of hazard, smoke and noise?
Do you really need deadly target skill if it fires as fast as they claim (assuming no recoil since its a pellet gun)? Oh, the good ole days when a kid could hike down the highway with a shotgun on his shoulder and no one thought anything of it⦠How did we get here???
