I found time ago this amazing software for Windows that let you connect to servers with every protocol known and can be itself a server for X, SFTP, TFTP and so on. Moreover it’s nice for serial port comms. It’s portable and you can fit it on an USB key.
It’s free, but with few bucks you can buy full license.

Interestingly enough, I’ve spent the last few days putting together an SSH client that runs from the Windows console (no GUI). I now know more about VT100 control codes than I ever wanted…
