USB-C PD Trigger, reverse voltage

Regarding these USB-C PD Trigger devices:

When I apply voltage to the output, the onboard LED flashes quickly. Should I be concerned?

I don’t understand what that module is for

You are not supposed to apply voltage to the output. You are supposed to hook these up to a USB-C PD compatible power bank or AC adapter and then this board gan generate the different USB-C PD voltages for you. Usually cycles with the button. First time its 5V, one click later is 9V, one click later is 12V and so on. Which voltages appear after how many clicks depend on what your PD adapter/powerbank supports.

If you want to use a USB PD board and a different power supply in parallel, I would recommend adding a diode to either one or both to create a power OR circuit to prevent current flowing in directions you don’t want.

So, Schottky diodes then? Sigh boy. This will delay things.

EDIT: Look at what I found lying around. An NTE6083. Hopefully, it works!

Diode installed. Problem resolved!
