Before I log this as a suggestion or bug, I’m hoping someone just needs to educate me… I always assumed the [ url ] tag was basically synonymous to the HTML anchor tag. However, I can’t figure out a way to just put a hyperlink behind a word/phrase. Is there any way to use the [ url ] tag so that it shows some text that has a link to a specified URL. Basically, I want to be able to write a normal HTML post without having to make my full URLs visible.

So, now my request is that the button in the editor insert the tag this way so I don’t have to go dig this thread up the next time I forget 
I can see where remembering to add an “=” could be taxing on the brain…
