Updating my knowldge of .NET Gadgeteer

I have not done any .NET Gadgeteer work for over a year. I have been browsing this site to update my knowledge and am hoping someone is willing to answer a few questions based on what I have found. I am working from memory so there may well be errors in my starting point knowledge.

  1. What happened to the Premium libraries? The hardware items used to be open or support the premium libraries. Does this distinction still exist.

  2. Does the FEZ Hydra now support the features that used to be in the premium library? If not, what equivalent hardware does?

  3. I am starting a new project that requires I write information to non-volatile storage. Can this be done with the Hydra?
