Unread Posts not working on General Discussion forum

Recently I noticed that the unread posts feature is not working correctly in the General Discussion forum. Every time I access the site (after being off the site for several hours) the General Discussions forum is highlighted in red indicating that I have unread posts there, but when I go into that forum there are no unread posts! Also, if there are unread posts, and I read all of them (individually), and then go back to the root of the forum, the General Discussion forum is still highlighted in red. The only way to clear the unread posts indicator is to go into General Discussion forum and click “mark as read”.

Anyone else having this problem?

But yes I think that the General Discussion and the .Net Gadgeteer areas both show as red for me. I do have some “deliberately marked unread” items on my list but they also are in Archive, and SoM, so it’s not consistent.

Thanks Brett. This started happening around the time that GHI updated the site and moved posts into Archive. I’m going to try logging off and then logging on again to see if that helps…

NOPE… didn’t help.

@ jasdev - Just checked, and I’m seeing the same behavior. Same two forums show red in the Forums list.

EDIT:
Strike that. There actually WAS an unread post in .net Gadgeteer. So it was just the General Discussion forum showing red once I read that. And Mark As Read in the Forum list seems to have cleared it.

I went to the full forum page and hit mark as read, and that has reset my stats across all those sub-forums, so now it looks right.
