Please feel free to start marking answers for questions. The point for the marking system is that you guys can look at the “unanswered questions” list and try to answer some questions for bonus points.
Please visit this http://www.tinyclr.com/forum/unanswered
and then mark a post as an answer or make an answer and someone else can mark yours as an answer.
I have gone though about 40 questions and marked them and will do more later but would be great if we all help each other into keeping the list short.
One suggestion, please give time to the question-poster to mark his own post with an answer. Basically, if you are not the one who made the question, please wait 3 days before you mark the answer.
Something wrong with the counter. It shows that there is 19 unanswered threads, but there is only 9 at the moment.
I saw that. It is correct on home page
@ Gus - It seems that this functionality is being abused? I have a question which clearly does not have an answer (yet?) but it has been decided that an arbitrary comment regarding a future version of the firmware is the correct answer, while I (and any one using the current firmware) know for sure the current version works and my question is related to the fact that I have a custom build of the firmware.
It seems rather dismissive to have someone arbitrarily decide that my question has been answered. I agree there are questions that have lingered for a long time and are clearly answered and should be marked as such, but some reasonable criteria should be applied before just deciding a question has been answered and thereby limiting/reducing the chances of a real answer being presented.
The question in point

You can always unmark the answer if it doesn’t give the answer you were looking for.
@ Architect - Thank you, I do agree and realize I can undo the answer, but just because I can fix it, does that make it right that it happens? I did not undo it because that would make my comment look rather silly, I complain about the misuse of a feature and the post I complain about does not demonstrate the issue. Besides, it also pointed out another issue which I posted on in the ‘Suggestions’ category.
I was heading over there to extend the question with more, hopefully, relevant information and seek further advice, just to find that I had apparently accepted an answer.
Just to be clear, I see the value in having the ability to clean-up the questions/answers. So I have no issue with that.
Y’know what we need? A StackExchange-style site. The forum format here may have gone as far as it can go.
