Thanks to @ Jason you can now easily create a NETMF based IoT wireless weather station. This is what @ Jason had to say about IoT and the “Wireless Cloud Weather Station”:

IoT (Internet of Things) means different things to different people. To me it means getting embedded devices to communicate with people, or other devices, over the Internet.

This project brings together a wireless connected Spider, Microsoft Azure Mobile Services and Windows Phone. The Data is retrieved from a number of sensors including wind direction, wind speed, rain fall, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and light level.
