I have just installed the latest sdk, the cobra wifi board, which I only seemed to have purchased yesterday is not part of the latest sdk. Having installed the discontinued sdk it has now appeared.

Do GHI provide a guarantee period that they will support their hardware for, having invested a considerable sum in development boards and components and when combined with the development time I need to be comfortable that today’s hardware is supported for a reasonable period? Not a few months???

Just take the EMX SoM.
It’s supported very long already, and still available, even that the G120 is around for quite a while.
The Cobra II and it’s variants are just a product around the G120, you could copy if you want.
Infact:
Don’t rely on every board around a SoM to be available for ages.
But the SoM’s itself have a quite good lifecycle at GHI.
