Simblee?

Has anyone worked with Simblee yet? https://www.simblee.com/

It looks cool but I don’t see any other gateway options other than an iOS device or Android on its way. It comes from the creators of the RFDuino. It appears they got bought by Heptagon which sells what look like auto focus sensors for cameras.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has worked with them yet.

Why can’t people, put out products with Castellated pins. GHI does it. Its not so hard.

That looks amazing. Unfortunately, at $18 per unit I think its going to be very rare that we see much of its potential in the wild. :frowning:

Castellated pins on a chip this small would be useless.

It’s only Bluetooth so short range. In the datasheet they only state long range with no reference to any numbers.

It might be good for developing occupancy detection systems and I came across something like this before but at $20 it will be a hard sell for that type of application when competing products on the market have a multitude of sensors and a housing and only $30 :frowning:

@ Dave McLaughlin - Dave, I am always on the lookout for sensors with radios onboard. Would you mind sharing some links?

Thanks.

Ive used this one (actually the rev just before this one)… it was pretty cool.

Pretty amazing for $29, considering you get all 10 sensors on board the thing, bluetooth, apps for android and Ios, and even a code composer studio license. You can even configure it for zigbee

Here is one that does
