Serial-USB Module ... uses pin 7 on socket type U

Hi,

In the schematic for the Serial-USB Module (http://www.ghielectronics.com/downloads/Gadgeteer/Module/Serial-USB%20sch.pdf) it shows Pin 7 connected to RTS. However, the Gadgeteer definition for a type U socket marks pin 7 as [UN], meaning “Modules must not connect to this pin if using this socket type.” (http://gadgeteer.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Socket%20Type%20U)

I’d appreciate feedback from somebody on why this won’t cause a conflict with other pins?

Tx,
Jack

It will be used when connect to a K socket and ignored on a U socket

Excellent. Would be great if somebody could add that to the documentation. Having the additional “K” (hardware flow control) available as an option is useful information.
