Qualcomm has introduced a new wireless platform.

The QCA4002/4004 are an intelligent platform for the Internet of Everything.

The plattform has some interesting features:

  • wake update time 10ms
  • Qualcomm’s industry leading 802.11n Wi-Fi®
    • Integrated high-power, high-efficiency power amplifier
    • Full security support: WPS, WPA, WPA2, WEP

The plattform is designed to work with a Peer to Peer network (AllJoyn).

It is presented on the IFA 2013 in Berlin.

The chip is currently available in sample quantities. The chips will be widely available in the fourth quarter.
