PowerState, PowerEvents, and other NETMF power stuff...?

Hi folks, just wondering if the power related functions in the .NET Micro Framework Platform SDK, Microsoft.SPOT.Hardware namespace actually are used by anyone, and if they are implemented on any of the GHI SoMs in meaningful ways?

I tested it some time ago on a G120 (or G400, I don’t know on which one exactly), I couldn’t notice any power- or performance-effect between the powerlevels.
I think I read somewhere here, that unused components are deactivated automatically.
