Pi power testing - sponsored by McDonalds®

Even though the North Americans are wrong with their date formats (well done @ mtylerjr for bucking the trend ) I thought I would flowing @ Mr Nukems lead and do some Pi power testing…

So I nicked @ DN’s Gadgeteer Pi speed test off codeshare and ran it against an Oxygen running at 84 MHz, another Oxygen at 96 MHz (it’s max) and a Cerb40 running at 168 MHz and here is the results calculating Pi to 30 digits.

All power draw is measured at the 5v input.

84 MHz Oxygen
Resting: 11.5 ma
Calculating: 30.8 ma
Time to calculate: 5.33 secs

96 MHz Oxygen
Resting: 11.5 ma
Calculating: 30.8 ma
Time to calculate: 4.89 secs

168 MHz Cerb40 II
Resting: 28.1 ma
Calculating: 70.8 ma
Time to calculate: 3.37 secs

And that was Pi power testing - proudly sponsored by McDonalds® - the breakfast of NETMF champions ::slight_smile:

I am more amazed that you can actually drink their coffee.

It’s really bad tasting stuff.

@ Dave McLaughlin - you are quite correct but it came with the B&E muffin…And you have forgotten how bad Engrish coffee is… :naughty:

I can’t stand McDonald’s breakfast. :-[

Maybe they could start giving away Justins modules in happy meals.
