Panda II Di0 equivalent in Hydra?

I am trying to convert a Panda II prototype to an equivalent Hydra-based type.

On the Panda II I am using Di0 as a serialport input. I am by no means an electronic guy, so I am wondering what an equivalent on the Hydra would be?
My best guess is that I need the socket type U - specifically pin 5 (RX (G)).

Am I correct?

Yes! You can also use socket K, which includes handshaking.
