Ok, DHCP would be really fine, because we’ve now more or less decided to go for the USBizi-144 Chipset in a project we’re busy with right now.
For the pilot we’re initially planning to use 25 domino’s which have to be placed on many different locations with unknown subnets and the end user should be able to install it himself. With no DHCP support this will be difficult (or we have to customize every product we’re delivering)
I forgot to mention that Wiznet W5100 Ethernet support speed is FOUR times faster than before in the new release. trying to send data from FEZ Panda through Ethernet shield through TCP socket reached 50 KByte/sec.
Before it was 13KByte/sec.
DHCP is next, it is planed to be in the next official release if it is not in the next beta.
