Need to configure IO60P16 Module for customized board?

Hi,

I have built a prototype based on FEZ cerberus and IO60P16 Module and I am trying to customized the PCB based on the schematic provided on the product page. I am concerned if I need to do any configuration on CY8C9560A on IO60P16 Module if I purchase the chip itself? or the Cerb family firmware will do the initialization?

In case an initialization is needed, is there any reference on how to do it? both hardware connection and source code.

its an I2C device so no firmware required as far as I know

Brett is correct. All the commands to the IO60P16 come from the mainboard. You do not program the CY8C9560A directly.
