Moutaineer Eth can see but NOT PING in MFDEPLOY?

@ Jay Jay - I have fired up a Win7 and VS2010 VM image to one of our servers if you want to give that a whirl…it’s ~10 giga joules in size…

Sure thing…

Shoot me a link to my E-mail: adv57 the usual at and Hot mail and you know the rest…
i will give that a shot and test my Spider as well… hopefully it’ll come back to life…

thanks.

Edit: Thank you so much for going through the trouble to get that VM up and running…

Chocks away.

Microsoft’s Lorenzo Tessiore just confirmed this:

Yes, it is just a historical artifact.
It is the “device hash” in the usb configuration, which is used to differentiate between devices with the same name prefix.
E.g.

Mountaineer_a7e70ea2 and
Mountaineer_abbbbbbb

That way you can have two Mountaineer boards connected to Visual Studio and recognize them. BTW, one can change that device hash from MFDeploy, thus effectively naming the device.
