The 8 10-pin sockets supply 5v except for 3.6v for sockets 4,5, and they are ± 25 mA per pin correct?
This should help GHI Electronics – Where Hardware Meets Software
The 3.6V stated in the datasheet denotes the voltage tolerance of the IO’s:
- “IO’s are 5V tolerant” means that you can apply a logic voltage of 5V on an input pin without damaging the mainboard. This pin won’t supply any power as it is an input!
- Except AD4 and AD5 means that these pins (both located on socket 6, see schematics here: http://www.mountaineer.org/app/download/6084112575/MountaineerETH_sch.pdf?t=1339693217) are NOT 5V tolerant, the maximum logic input voltage must be here 3.6V.
The +3.3V and +5V are standard on all the sockets (see Gus’ link)
