Microsoft partnership with Arduino

“Microsoft is enabling developers to extend their Universal Windows Platform Application with Arduino commands (that execute on a wirelessly connected Arduino device).”

A great answer to “what am I going to do with all these UNOs?” - of which I have far too many. The article fails to mention that this is based on Firmata. Now, of course, if we get the same UI virtualization in NETMF, then I would start new projects there so I don’t need separate environments and to simplify field updates.

See what I mean about this forum? I learn something useful every day here. For example I did not even know about Firmata. It looks like something that could be very useful for something I’m implementing right now. Thanks for this.
