I did not find any information about components and until I had successful communication I was really unsure about whether or not I had hardware that would work. I thought I would provide this information to help others like me.
I got these items from Digi-Key. Receiver: TSOP34836-ND Led: LTE-4208
These components function together. The receiver worked with all my Sony remotes.
