Initialize command causes Alfat to freeze

What would cause the Alfat to freeze when the initialize command is sent (I M:)? I’m not even getting an error code. I can communicate with the chip and I’ve updated the firmware which was already V2.0.0.

The chip is on a board that I’ve built. I can communicate with the Alfat through a microchip and a laptop and get the same results with both.

When it freezes, remove the card and let us know if you get an error code please.

I don’t get an error code when I remove the card. Nor do I get one when I issue the command with no card inserted. I don’t think it makes a difference, but I’m using a micro SD card.

Always gets stuck? Do it without card. If so, you are doing something wrong.
