I absolutely loved my first board (that I unfortunately fried). But the second is on its way and I’m looking forward to keep working on it.
PS. As the IO pins can’t handle much current (4mA) you might also stock up on transistors 
I have shorted out my Domino on many occasions (breadboards, loose wires and things moving fast enough that I can’t catch up do not mix) and it has yet to sustain any damage… Knock on wood.
