I2c and cerbuino

I have a non i2c device I’d like to try with the cerebuino…but having some difficulties. I am connecting the sda and scl lines to digital pins 0 and 1. Looking at the schematics of the cerebuino, I think those are the correct pins. Can anyone confirm is this is correct?

Thanks.

You can use software i2c then any pins can be used.

this should help, Home - GHI Electronics

Well, if it is anything but I2C you’ll definitely have trouble…

Thanks…and sorry I meant ‘non-gadgeteer’ device

Just to be clear, the arduino like pin headers on the cerbuino do not support SDA and SCL right? the page ransomehall pointed to does not indicate that any do, but the schematics seem to identify d0 and d1 as SDA and SCl pins (unless i’m misreading the schematics).

Thanks once more

Correct no i2c. The one you see is not supported and only advanced users can make it work. Software i2c is what you need.
