How to read data from RS232

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me with this problem:
“I want to read some data using the RS232 module. I checked the forum hoping that I would find an example, but that didn’t work out…
Is there someone who can give me an example how to get data through the RS232 from a device?”

in addition to the GHI examples @ iamin gave you, you can search this Forum for “serial port” and “serial port best practice” and you’ll find some more examples. Make sure you’re searching in the top level forum and not one of the sub-forums.
