How many USB to serial devices can EMX support

I have a project that requires 6-8 serial ports. The EMX doesn’t have enough onboard COM ports to support the project. I know there is a driver to use the FTDI USB to serial chips but I can’t find anything that says how many the EMX will support.

If I connect a USB hub to the EMX and 6-8 of the FTDI serial devices to the hub will the EMX support this configuration?

Yes it should work fine but I am not sure if this was ever tested, I mean with 8 FTDI devices.
