I’ve been away from the forum for a few years, due to a combination of work and illness.
I ran across my three ancient BrainPad boards this week, and would like to configure a Windows 10 or Windows 11 system to program them again. The development machine I used to program the three classic BrainPad boards I have is long gone. I’m looking for the Windows driver(s) required to recognize the boards as something other than “Other device | FEZ”, as well as the files required to program these boards in C# via Visual Studio. I have many versions of Visual Studio available. If I have to revert to Windows 7 to accomplish this, I can, but would prefer 10 or 11.
I’ve done a lot of searching, including on the wayback machine, and can’t seem to find the instructions or files needed to set these up (both to get Windows to see them properly and to establish the programming environment for deploy and debug.
The three boards I have are:
- Very large white board with black printing, labeled Revision 1.2, where tiny Reset button is nestled in the middle of the four large buttons.
- Small white board with black printing, labeled BP2 Rev A, where there are two tiny buttons to the left of the clickboard connector, labeled Reset and Boot0.
- Small white board with black printing, labeled BP1 Rev D, where there is just one tiny button to the left of the clickboard connector, labeled Reset.
If the answer is that time has marched on and I can no longer get the files/instructions needed to program these old boards, that’s okay too. I just hate to waste perfectly good hardware, if I can put it to use.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
