Help: FEZ Touch & Glide

#1

Hey,
I am currently trying to learn programming with MS Visual C# 2010 Express. I already made a few tutorials such as making the LED on my FEZ Panda II board blink (successful). Now I want to run a few simple examples using Glide.

But there is my first problem:
For example I made a new Console Application. I replaced the code with the code found on:
http://www.ghielectronics.com/glide/example/3
Then I added the GHIElectronics.NETMF.Glide.dll found in the Glide/Bin/Debug/Be directory to the references. While trying to debug an error shows up: Error: Assembly file does not exist! Load failed. (I made sure that the namespaces match)
Strangely enough I somehow made it run at one point a few days ago.

My next problem is that I dont know how to load the windows on my FEZ Touch (In case its running successful on the emulator). I didnt found an example to learn from. I used the code mentioned above and changed the target framework to 4.1. Then I chose USB USBizi_USBizi as device. When I try to debug it: An error has occurred: please check your hardware.
I tried to add the references GHIElectronics.NETMF.FEZ and the Fez Touch driver dll to use some methods to load the window on the LCD but failed.

I hope someone has the time to help a newbie and sorry for my English
Best regards, Jonas

@ JonKo - Welcome to the community!

Unfortunately, I don’t think the Panda-II is capable of running Glide. If you need GUI on that device, I’d check out Clix by Skewworks or maybe Tinkr2. I’m not sure if Tinkr2 works on Panda-II, though.

@ JonKo - Skewworks Spiral works with the FEZ Touch. Clix & Tinkr do not as they require native graphics support.

There’s the GUI pro
