Does this GPRSbee can be used with GHI’s XBee Adapter Module?

I don’t see why not. It does need it’s own power, though.

I am not sure about their power source of choice, There is no charging for the LiPo included so you would need this to be done externally.

If this was for a permanent build, I would go with having a separate 3V3 power supply for it. The SIM900 datasheet has the recommended type of supply for this. I use the National Semi switchers to power my SIM900 boards.

You will need to be able to control the DTR input as this is used to power the device ON and OFF. Not recommended to use this to power off unless you get stuck with no serial. Better to use the AT commands to power down as this does the proper de-registration on the GSM network.
