Gotta love the Chinese

Check out this bad boy - Amazon.com

From the description… “This module can be inserted into an ordinary plush toys through the program to give it vitality.”

Classic

Sold by Jennifer Lopez  LOL!

DFRobot was suppose to be one of the Gadgeteer partners. There was some communication between us but I think they are a bit lost on what gaadgeteer is about. Too bad as we really love to see more Gadgeteer mainboards and modules on the market.

Ya think? Check out this from the product description…

Looks like DFRobot is actually selling some modules but I don’t see a mainboard on their site.

Even DFRobot is not aware that they have a Gadgeteer main board now.

So technically can Gadgeteer be anything but .Net Gadgeteer ie can it be .Arduino Gadgeteer and get away with using the G?
Or is Gageteer really .Net Gadgeteer.?

I just want to see their VS2012 IDE support

hahahaa coffee splurt moment. Frankenduino is born :D…

Nice modules! I am really surprised

But how many different variations of an RTC module do you need? I won’t be rushing out to get any of their modules. This feels like another Seeeduation. I do love their PCB service, though.

Being a Module Junkie in need of a fix I might bite and get a couple and see what the deal is.

Looking forward to hear about it.

Where does it say DFrobot on the Amazon page ? wonder who is making these.

@ Rajesh - There is DFRobot logo on the board.

OK ordered a couple of UV Sensors and Real -Time clock Module, hopefully good news to report soon.

You are probably the only person who has the largest collection of Gadgeteer modules! Curious to see a photo of all your modules.

My accountant would like see a photo of them all too as she almost fainted when she added it all up last year. To get a picture of them all would mean I’d have to take apart a number of running and under development projects and that wouldn’t do as then I know it would overflow my existing module storage and likely frighten the crap out of me too, Gadgeteer is better then drugs and far more addictive, but a day without Gadgeteer is like a day without creativity.

My objective this year is to post at least a project a month on YouTube/CodeShare/etc as we really need to get the word out about how incredible Gadgeteer is.

Sounds like a good New Year resolution!

OK that was fast as DFRobot has updated my order’s status to shipped and gave me a shipping tracking number. Those UV sensors just might make it in time to be included in my current project.

They list the RTC modules as “Gadgeteer Arduino Compatible” and “Arduino Gadgeteer Compatible”

– unless there is something lost in translation, there’s no “AND” in between “Gadgeteer Arduino Compatible”

And why are there 2 sockets on these boards? Are they pass through (my guess) or DaisyLink-esque?

This is something we should all have as a New Years resolution !
