I just installed the GHI motorcape and it works… as long as you do not use it in combination with a 4DSystems display cape. Motor 1 and 2 do not work correctly. I guess a conflict with IO points P8-18 and P8-16. Is this a known problem? It makes the motor cape useless to me as I need both in my application at the same time.
Please advise.
My best,
Harke
If you are able to handle a soldering iron, it should be possible to cut the tracks and use spare GPIO pins instead? About the only option you will have with this.
I found out that you can use motors 1, 3 and 4 icw the 4D Systems display. The PWM signal of motor 2 (P9-14) is used by the display to control brightness. At the display you could cut a trace, or remove an 0R resistor, but as I need only two motors I will stay with motors 3 and 4. I do not know what the effect on brightness will be? The led of motor 2 will be always on.
Cheers
