New to gadgeteer and wondering how easy is it to go from a gadgeteer prioject to non-gadgeteer? I am building a prototype system and think that it should be converted to a more embedded system(performance advantage, non-gadgeteer) at a future time.
Are their any advantages to doing this? Has anyone done this before?
While it requires a bit more work, you can program your gadgeteer gear without the use if the gadgeteer software. This makes it easy when you move to your item design.
Another option is to continue using gadgeteer libraries, even if you switch to your own custom design.
After you learn a bit about what gadgeteer provides as a layer over standard MF, you can organize your code to minimize the migration effort.
