Fresh install, no Gadgeteer Template for Spider in Visual Studio

Im sure this has been asked before… but…

I did a fresh install of everything as laid out under the support link

  1. (C# Express 2010 (I have VS2012 ultimate)
  2. Microsoft .NET Micro Framework 4.2 QFE2 SDK
  3. GHI Software Package v4.2

and when I go into VS2010 Express I see Micro Framework under installed templates, however, there is no Gadgeteer or Fez Spider project.

I had this working months ago on my PC but have not messed around. Got a new machine and been working on other things…

Help?

Nevermind, I uninstalled everything except for C# Express 2010 and reinstalled .NET MF SDK and GHI Software package and both .NET Gadgeteer Application (4.1 MF) and .NET Gadgeteer Application (4.2 MF) appear!

Pheww, I thought I was going crazy :smiley:

Make sure to instal the item

Thanks, but I did not need to install that. I uninstalled everything but C#2010 express and just installed the .NET MF SDK 4.2 and GHI Sofware Package (not the optional stuff) and it is there :slight_smile: thanks for the reply.

Ok good! I never had that issue myself. But installing 4 helped others in similar situation in the past. So I am not sure for the exact cause of that.
Anyways, glad that it works for you now. :slight_smile:
