FEZ-Spider Gadgeteer firmware vs EMX "plain" firmware

Hi everybody.

I know this could be a silly question, but I’d like to know whether and how “plain vanilla .netmf” SDK 4.1 EMX firmware differs from EMX_FEZ-Spider one.
Despite I thought they were the same one, flashing EMX firmware contained in SDK 4.1.18 directory and running FEZ-Spider updater inside Gadgeteer GHI SDK folder gives a two different results, since for example connecting MFDeploy tells “EMX_EMX” in one case and “EMX_Gadgeteer” in the other.

Are there actually “real” differences?

The firmware is the same. Name is the only difference. Gadgeteer portion is just a library on top of “plain vanilla .netmf”
