FEZ Game-O, an open-source console

Only about $300 short of $10K  We only need couple more pledges.
Sweet!
I couldn’t of said it better myself!

Congratulations with the successful campaign!

Thank you to everyone who backed this campaign! We are just waiting for KickStarter to do their final processing and then we can start shipping.

$9820, not bad!

Congrats!

The system is quick. About 30 seconds after it ended, I got the email and about 15 mins after that I got the debit note for my card.

Can’t wait to get this beast in my hands now!!

Just got successfully charged in the UK too.

Sweet! It seems Outlook.com isn’t working, so I can’t read my messages :frowning:

I assume we are going to get the survey for address to ship to (or it’s been sent and I can’t see it?)

@ twkisner - We just sent out the surveys, you should see it shortly.

Sweet, got it filled out on the Kickstarter site!!! Outlook.com still is down…

@ andre.m I’m sure it depends on what server cluster or datacenter your account sits on, mine is down with MS promising an update by 1:00 PM (my time, Redmond time, I don’t know).

Congratulations!

I can’t wait to get my pair

Pete

Got mine in the mail this morning!

@ twkisner - Keep us posted on your first project!
happy gaming
I second that motion.

It’s going to be a remote controller for a Cerbot I’m building for my son (see pic). I’m going to add in the Bluetooth module (the Gadgeteer module, I’m not brave enough to solder it in).

To plug Todd’s group, I’ll be bringing the whole mess to the DFW .NET Micro User Group next week:

http://dallasmicro.net/08282013-fez-game-o-an-open-source-programmable-hand-held-console.aspx

Please share some more details when you have time.

What I envision doing is picking from different programs for the Cerbot from a menu on the Game-o display, like line follow, obstacle avoidance, and free control. Then (hopefully) I’ll have the sensors send back data to the Game-o display (distance to object, compass heading, reflectivity detected, etc.).

For starters I will just want to get the Cerbot to move based on the controls on the Game-o, plus make the Pizzo beep and change the text display on the Cerbot.

I haven’t messed with the Bluetooth stuff at all, so figuring out how that works will be my first challenge.

Does fine on the emulator, but with the Game-O itself:

… Crickets …

Oh, and FEZ_Config_v013 pretended to do something and then whined
Cerb-Family updating failed
and the link to information on how to update manually leads to something so ugly, it might as well be Unix documentation …
