FEZ Game-O, an open-source console

@ Jeff - I am using VS2012 ultimate edition. Everything else is the same.

A thought. Change platform target of the emulator project to x86. See if this will help it.

@ Architect -

Pledged! Cool project!

For those of us newbies, what do the vets around here suggest adding to the console hardware wise?

Welcome to the forum!

The answer depends on what you want to do with your console.

Typically some type of networking makes sense - perhaps TCP based (wifi, ethernet) or serial bridges (Serial Pipe, XBee, Bluetooth).

FEZ Game-O received a mention on the website www.warpzoned.com in their “KickStart this” feature. Here is a link the article.

Question on the combo early delivery (Black+Pink). Does it come as a complete pair of devices (meaning two pouches and cables)?

yes of course, complete 2 sets

Update the KS description then

“a” doesn’t imply “two”

We are not allowed to change description.

Two quick questions:
How long can it run on 3 AAA batteries?
How much will it cost once it is in production?

It should run for full day but this also depends on the software you run and how bright you set the display.

The production price depends on volumes. We will try to lower the price if we can.

Nice mention! That site should include some Tylenol though… who chose that background!!!

And the capacity of the batteries.

Another update is posted to show off the emulator, thanks architect. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1359959821/open-source-programmable-hand-held-console/posts

I am working on adding sound and SD card support to the emulator.

I want to buy 6 of the white Game-o’s for my coding/programming club at my school but I’m not sure if it will let me buy the tier more than once… ???

You can multiply the unit cost maybe.

Welcome to the community.

I think it’ll take a gentleman’s agreement  Kickstarter won’t let him order multiple quantities. Or you could add a “club pack” award level that gives him 6 as a single reward.

@ davis9829 - Have each of the club members become supporters on Kickstarter.

Once the Kickstarter rewards are sent out, I am sure GHI will be selling Game-O in any quantity you want, assuming you can wait.
