We are excited to announce the new FEZ Cobra II (Net) and a new price for FEZ Cobra II (Eco). At only $79.95 in single quantity, companies have now the option of using a full featured premium offer with built-in Ethernet. FEZ Cobra II (Eco) is now $59.95, an excellent new price coming from $99.95. Additionally, we have added a new FEZ Cobra II (WiFi) with external antenna option. Currently, this is available through special order with a minimum order of 100 units.

As always, the module offers are ever expanding, allowing for more powerful applications and further flexibility. See links below for direct links to the module.

Hi Gus,

Would you also consider lowering by the same amount (-40$) the price of the Cobra 2 Wifi ?

I would use it directly in commercial applications instead of redesigning my EMX PCB.

@ Gus - Is the Fez Cobra II (Net) going to support the full SSL stack (client & server)? It states that it leverages SSL from .NET Micro framework, but I want to be sure that includes ssl server.

No preorder option but we will have it available in 2 weeks.

@ Gus - Any chance I could get my hands on the Premium SDK ahead of time? I would like to start porting our project to this platform and be able to test when I get the board in house.

Cobra uses G120 module. The complete SDK is already available under the support page.

Will the WiFi version see a price drop too?

From what I can see, if I purchase the ECO module and the WiFi module and fit it myself, I could save almost $50… :slight_smile:

@ Gus - It appears that the documentation for the FEZ Cobra II is out of date (https://www.ghielectronics.com/docs/48/fez-cobra-ii-developer). I am attempting to access the NetworkInterface on EthernetENC28J60 and use IsDhcpEnabled/EnableDhcp() but they are not accessible.

This is pulled right out of the example on the wiki. Please advise.

Scratch that… I restarted VS2012 and it magically started to see and compile. Very odd. I think its because I started with a NETMF 4.3 project and changed to 4.2 after I realized that was the latest version you support. That change must not have taken effect until the restart.
