FEZ Cobra II and G120 reference design

Looks nice!

Nice!

I’m curious how you guys create your logos. Do you have something to convert images to something that can be imported in Eagle or does someone draw it a wire at a time?

@ Gus - Congrats to you guys! Looks awesome!

BMP import

Thanks! I didn’t realize that existed.

In case anyone else is interested, here’s the process:

nice looking board, quick question it that built in wifi next to the sd card ? think i just heard my poor wallet let out an inevitable sigh

ah and bmp import learnt something new yet again cool.

One more teaser to get you thinking over the weekend  Remember this has a nice switcher in board, just like USB DP module, works up to 30V and gives you about 1A.

And yeah, that is wifi on-board…enjoy!

One more… Cobra II still fits in the same enclosure as old Cobra and is slightly shorter, leaving more enclosure room for custom boards. Not to forge the expandability, thanks to gadgeteer.

More details come when we are done testing.

@ Gus - stop it

Gus

I see that three of the Gadgeteer sockets have RGB on them for attaching a LCD.

I do not see solder pads for the other three sockets. Are they wired as specific
Gadgeteer socket types, or are they terminated along the side of the board?

This is not SoM category so it is different from G120HDR. The other sockets are wired already. They have everything you may need, from connecting relays to connecting Ethernet

Hmmm. Interesting…

So far all is going well http://www.ghielectronics.com/images/catalog/398-0_large.jpg

@ Gus - Very nice

How abou the performance of the Ethernet ENC28 Module. Is it compareable to the EMX onboard Ethernet? or slower, faster?
For one of our projects we need to transfer a lot of data to a PC with ā€˜soft’ Realtime conditions.
We made promising tests with the EMX Module (Cobra Board).

Reinhard.

Any updates on the schematics for the Cobra II? I have a new board designed for the G120 and I would like to cross reference things before sending the files out for prototyping.

Brice

I think you’ve been outed a little:

When do you expect we can see a schematic

Here it is http://www.tinyclr.com/forum/topic?id=9457

Can we expect to get the layout files as well like for the old Cobra board?
