FEZ-Cobra broken?

Hi.

We just purchased a FEZ-Cobra on Antratek web shop, but it seems that USB isn’t working as it should.

Indeed, once connected we can hear beeps of default firmware, i.e. EMX bootstraps well, but PC can’t recognize USB device.

We tried on different USB ports of different PCs, with no luck.

Also, trying to activate GHI bootloader by pressing 3 buttons while power cycling doesn’t work.

Any hints?

Hint: tell us what devices are visible in the PC’s Device Manager as you insert the USB cable. That might tell us what is and is not working

Device is shown on device manager as “Unknown Device”, with following error message: “Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)”

Try another USB cable. Use external power
