FEZ Cerberus Mainboard and timer

HI im thinking about getting my self a FEZ Cerberus Mainboard and will be using a timer in my code to tick at a msec range 1sec to 1msec also I need to know the time of day. But when I read about the board it says Built-in Real Time Clock (Needs 32Khz crystal) do I need a additional component for that?
